Casual Dinner @ Lei Garden


最近忙得要命,現在才可整理一下最近的筆記,還望各位見諒。這次晚飯是每人自携一瓶葡萄酒,沒甚麼特別主題,簡簡單單但卻是舒舒服服。

Esk Valley Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2006, Hawkes Bay New Zealand
香氣及味道都是以菠蘿,桃子和少許蜂蜜為主,中高的酸度,入口後更有點點的辛辣。

Chateau des Tuquets 2003, Bordeaux France
初時像有點點corked,之後又消失了,奇。青草、蘑菇、黑加侖子及青椒的香氣,枝梗感覺頗強,入口比較平淡,但卻有些豆寇的香辣。

De Pennautier Sauvignon Blanc 2005, VDP d’Oc France
石榴及青草,中高酸度,很簡單的一瓶酒。

Chateau de Pressac 2000, St Emilion Bordeaux France
紅果及黑果幾乎混為一體之餘再帶點煙燻。入口單寧及酸度中等,挺滑溜,宜配重味道的菜色。

Palliser Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2005, Martinborough New Zealand
在鼻子中的香氣及口中的味道都是以菠蘿、桃子、青草和少許蜂蜜為主,中高的酸度,和第一瓶酒十分近似,但她比較嬌柔,感覺是細水長流的。

Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru, Les Fichots, Domain Folllin-Arbelet, 2002
一位頗為內歛害羞的女士。初時只有植物和土地香氣,漸漸發展出紅果味道。中等單寧,入口十分濃郁的士多啤梨味。很直接的布根地一級田葡萄酒,很適合日常飲用。

Corte Rugolin “Monte Danieli” Amarone Classico 1998, Italy
葡萄乾、黑果、土地、朱古力、礦物、話梅及山楂香氣,入口帶輕輕的酸甜,反而應有的苦味卻不見,應仍有發展及成熟的空間。

Metala Shiraz Cabernet 1997, Langhorne Creek, Australia
黑莓、煙燻、李子、葡萄乾,十分幼滑及充滿牛油香,入口更有點陳皮味道,是該喝的酒了。

Niepoort White Port
酒精明顯,帶白朱古力、糖醬、焦糖、香料辛辣,乾果等味道。

Beringer Nightingale 1998, Botrytised Napa Valley, USA
葡萄乾、糖醬及少許貴族霉香,入口酸度中等,香料辛辣比較明顯。如酸度可再高一點便是完美的甜酒了。

Here are some late coming tasting notes for this simple but not naïve dinner.

Esk Valley Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2006, Hawkes Bay New Zealand
Pineapple, peach and minor honey tone on both nose and palate, with medium high acidity and some spice on back palate. Simple starter.

Chateau des Tuquets 2003, Bordeaux France
She seemed to be a bit corked at first but back to normal later. Grassy, mushroom, blackcurrant and green pepper in nose, rather flat on palate. Some nutmeg was also notes when drank.

De Pennautier Sauvignon Blanc 2005, VDP d’Oc France
Guava, grassy and medium high acidity simple wine.

Chateau de Pressac 2000, St Emilion Bordeaux France
A combination of black/red fruit and smoky in nose, quite smooth when in mouth. Medium tannin and acidity, she was a natural-born partner for heavy food.

Palliser Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2005, Martinborough New Zealand
Pineapple, peach, minor honey and grassy on both nose and palate, with medium high acidity. Quite similar to the first one but she was more elegant.

Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru, Les Fichots, Domain Folllin-Arbelet, 2002
She was rather shy at first. Vegetal and earthy were first noted, and red fruit was shown after a while. Medium tannin and quite strong strawberry/red fruit were found on palate. A straight-forward 1er Cru, very suitable for daily drinking.

Corte Rugolin “Monte Danieli” Amarone Classico 1998, Italy
Raisin, black fruit, earthy, chocolate, dried berry and date, mineral were noted on nose, attractive. A hint of sweetness was found on palate but the natural bitterness could not be found. Still plenty room for improvement.

Metala Shiraz Cabernet 1997, Langhorne Creek, Australia
Blackberry, plum, raisin and smoke on nose, she was also very creamy and buttery. A hint of preserved tangerine peel was also shown on palate. She was ready to be and should be drunk now.

Niepoort White Port
Alcoholic, some white chocolate, caramel and syrup was noted. Spiciness and dried fruit were also noted in mouth.

Beringer Nightingale 1998, Botrytised Napa Valley, USA
Raisin, syrup, and minor botrytis favour were noted. Med acidity, rather spicy on palate. If she was with higher acidity, she would be a perfect casual drinking desert wine.

I know your blog while search the wine "Chateau des Tuquets 2003, Bordeaux France".

may i know where can i buy this wine? also can you recommend a red wine for me for wedding banquet use. (not expensive and tates are good and fruit)
